During Tate’s fantasies turned flashbacks he wears solid black pants bloused in a pair of black military boots with about 12 eyes.

His over coat is a custom reproduction of a Union soldier’s frock coat — more precisely this Infantry jacket, right down to the button details of the eagle carrying the arrows with an ‘I’ shield. His double-breasted military/pea coat is made of black wool, cut just above the knees. There are seven gold buttons down the front on either side, including two in the back on the waistline. One inch wide gold epaulettes decorate the shoulder seams.

Because most accurate reproductions create this style coat in a dark blue, it leads me to believe it was custom made for the show. If you have no intentions of making your own jacket or dying one you’ve purchased, you can always substitute it for a pea coat trench.

Underneath his coat he dons a solid black long sleeve thermal shirt and a black zip-up hoodie.
